Let's get know know...
Saul Roldan
Date: 3/31/2023
Artist Style: classic realism
Artist Mediums: Oil
Artist Bio:
Saul Roldan, born in Brooklyn NY, living in Virginia, is a student of art, of the mystery present in light and shadow. He finds in it the poetry of painting. It is like the notes in music, the harmonious balance between high and low notes. His painting reflects his love for Rembrandt and Caravaggio. In some of his works, the influence of DalÃ's surrealism can also be seen. He tries to capture reality, but not the reality of photographic mechanical Hyperrealism. His passion is figurative art: the human body, portrait and still life.

DeleteWhen Saul first submitted his art to be juried into Open Space Arts, I was on the jury committee along with several other Prince William Art Society members. We were so excited and amazed at Saul's artwork - his level of skill is, well, master class kick butt. We look forward to whatever he submits to show next.
ReplyDeleteCongrats to you Sir, beautiful body of work for sure!
ReplyDeleteHis work is so inspiring. Great to see that some still follow the steps of the masters. Dalà would have been so proud of him.
ReplyDeleteSaúl, your work is wonderful!, Felicitaciones!!!
