Kathleen Best Gillmann plans to discuss and present examples of her work at PWASociety’s next meeting on August 28th. She will explain a new drawing technique she’s been developing since 2021 which combines pastel and colored pencil – an opaque and a transparent media. See an example of this technique (“Duluth Biking Partners, 1937”) currently on display at the Art League Gallery in the “Embody” exhibition until September 3rd.
Find her work online at www.VeryBestFineArt.com and on Facebook at “Kathleen Best Gillmann – Very Best Fine Art”. Visit her current special exhibition which includes pastels, oil paintings and acrylic paintings at Arches Gallery (building 9) at the Workhouse Arts Center, Lorton, through Oct 1st and open Saturdays and Sundays.
The public is always welcome to attend the PWAS meetings. After the guest speaker, the art group typically discusses group business and updates.
